Why our Internet filter is intelligent

Our Internet filter is a 100% dynamic content analyzer, which is based on artificial intelligence utilizing advanced image analysis combined with text analysis. By combining image analysis with text analysis we offer a more reliable content filter. The text analysis is merely a secondary source of information in the analysis process but our content filter is not dependent on it if no text is available.

Why other Internet filters are not smart enough

Most Internet filtering software products available on the market today are based on obsolete technologies which consequently decrease the reliability and performance of these products. Apart from our web filter almost no other content filter offers image analysis, which is very important in a porn filter, since pornographic sites mostly contain images and video. Typically these products block on the basis on static black lists and/or text analysis.

The disadvantage of blacklist filters

• Black lists must be updated manually. Companies selling these products typically have employees surf the Internet and manually add URLs of objectionable sites to the blacklist. Black lists must be distributed to the end users regularly. This is not only expensive but simply unfeasible and unrealistic to keep an updated black list, given the fact that 1000s of new sites are introduced to the Internet every day.
• Sites not available in the black list will not be blocked.

The disadvantage of only relying on text analysis

• Many Pornographic sites contain little or no text, which makes it impossible for these solutions to block.
• By relying on a text scanner there is a risk that seemingly objectionable sites are blocked (e.g. medical pages).
• Text scanners must support many languages. Most of these products only support English.
• Some pornographic sites index themselves by using popular search strings like "Britney Spears". Thus text scanners can be fooled.
